This is an investigative report exploring one of the cognitive biases that we encounter in our daily lives, in-group bias. This report explains the nature of in-group bias and discusses the impact it exerts on our daily lives.

This essay was written for the Advanced Japanese Language V course at Chukyo University.
This is an argumentative report about the causes of sleep deprivation. In the report, I investigate to what extent the sleep deprivation experienced by so many people is actually attributable to personal factors versus social ones.

This essay was written for the LANG 3100 East Asian Pop Culture course at Clemson University.
This is an essay about the virtual idol Hatsune Miku, as she relates to concepts from Benedict Anderson's Imagined Communities. In the essay I analyze Hatsune Miku's role as a community-powered virtual idol, and the global fandom culture she gave rise to in which fans build shared identities through imagined connections.

This is an analytical essay about Haruki Murakami's Kafka on the Shore. In the essay, I draw parallels between the physical and metaphysical worlds featured in the novel, and the human conscious and subconscious respectively.

Description: This is a report analyzing one element of Japan's distinctive business culture, kaizen, the concept of continuous improvement. In the report, I explain what kaizen entails, discuss its advantages and disadvantages, and elucidate why it holds such significance within the context of Japanese business.

This essay was written for the PCID 3040 Business Communication & Information Design course at Clemson University.
This is an exercise aimed at creating effective data visualizations. For the assignment, I assumed the role of an employee tasked by my boss to create and design an informational report conveying the importance of cybersecurity to new customer service agents.
